Weekend Wrap Up
Here is mini#2, all 35 lbs of him, being hauled back to the car post fireworks. That's Mr. Pink and not some stranger BTW. He was talking or singing the entire way. He's like the Energizer bunny! I hope you all had a happy 4th!
Tonight we drop my MIL off with my husband's cousin here in Raleigh. She is dropping her daughter off at the Governor's School summer program. Since his cousin lives about 20 mins from MIL's house, she volunteered to drive MIL's car back to MIL's house. Confused yet? Sorry! Anyway, can I give a silent cheer here? It has been 10 long weeks since her surgery. We've all been tense, stressed and it's put a strain on our household. It's difficult parenting a parent when the parent doesn't want to eat, drink, exercise. The good news is she is FINALLY recovering nicely, eating normally again and only requires preventative chemotherapy (once a week for 3 weeks, one week off for 6 months). She is, most likely, going to do this round of chemo in her hometown. We hope that she will be with us for a long time...and we are all happy to be getting back to our own lives, schedules and a sense of normalcy again. Whew! We made it!
Lastly, Belle in Bloom gave me this sweet award last week! Girl, I'm glad someone thinks I'm nice these days! This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you’ve been awarded please pass on to three others whom you feel are deserving of this award.
I'll choose the 3 that immediately came to mind: Belle in Bloom because I feel her heart when she's talking about her boys or just about anything. She feels deeply and, as a sappy person myself, I can identify. If we were to meet, I think we'd hit it off right away! Also to Momx2 who lives life and enjoys doing it! I love her humor. She's also sent me emails checking in on me just like a true friend does. Thank you. Finally to One Fabulous Mom who seems like the person you would gravitate towards in a room where you didn't know anyone. Her cheerfulness spills into her blog daily even when facing difficulties. I can imagine that she smiles all the time! So thanks blog friends (including those not mentioned) for cheering me up and being the nice new friends I've made through this thing called blogging!
Tomorrow, mini#1 starts 2nd grade! Cannot believe this! I also cannot believe that we will now have to start rising at 6:30 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. when he was in his previous school. Let's pray he isn't late to school because I can't get up!

You are the sweetest I swear! Thank you for my award! happy fourth!
Thank you so, so much for the sweet comment. That was truly so nice of you to say. I think we'd hit it off, too! And our boys could probably wreak some havoc on things!Ha!
Also, does this mean MIL is living back at her house now?? If so, I just exhaled HUGELY for you. I'm so glad you can get your life back to normal. Just in time for school to start...jees. Oh well, Woo Hoo!
Belle- YES, she is back at her house. I exhaled deeply myself and it is a bummer that it happened just when school started again! But he'll be out for 3 weeks in September. Not too far away.
