I will be here for a few days...

As this posts, I will be en route to the above location for fun and sun until Sunday. Hopefully, I will unwind and relax. I say this because Monday and Tuesday were spent in a whirlwind of packing, cleaning, getting over a sinus infection, writing out a thousand notes for my parents who are keeping the minis at our house and deciding which shoes to take and which to leave behind. The Mr. and I, for the second time in less than 5 months, are off WITHOUT KIDS on an all expense paid work trip to Panama- the country, not the panhandle of Florida! Cannot believe it's finally here! Looking forward to doing whatever I want to and raiding the hotel mini bar because I won't be paying for it.... Have a good rest of the week. I know we will! Just say a little mom prayer for my mom as she becomes a mommy chauffeur once again.

I just...

killed a baby copperhead in my backyard. Didn't want to and never have, but little kids expected me to "do something" so I did. Squealing alongwith them. Ugh...that's a man's job!

A few party pics

A good time was had by all. Green is my favorite color. I sure had my fill of it last night. Everyone was in every shade of it! Hopefully, no one looked green this morning!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had a leprechaun visit last night! When the boys awoke they found green footprints on their toilet seat and green "water" inside. Thanks Pinterest. It was funny.

Tonight we're throwing a St. Patrick's Day party. The kids will be next door with a sitter and we're expecting a good crowd. I painted my nails last night in honor of the holiday!

The house is all decorated in green. Let the festivities begin!

I hope you're all wearing green!

Lucky 7

Happy 7th Birthday sweet boy!! I hope this year is as fun, as exciting and as action packed as your last year has been! I feel like I have blinked and suddenly have a 7 year old. As he says to me often, "I'll love you forever and I'll never stop!" (And how cool is it for a March baby to have his birthday off from school?) We're off to meet daddy for lunch. Cracker Barrel because he wants chicken and dumplings.

Colorburst

My kids are out of school for 3 weeks so this week we're doing the gym, sports, errand running routine. We went to Target today and saw a lot of very cute wedge sandals. Spring is in the air in NC with 70 plus degree weather and in Target!

I bought the last pair (but in royal), but like the grey pair right above it. I may have to go back!

What do you think of her?

After watching Courtney last night on the Bachelor "Girls Tell All," I still don't think she's sincere. I really wonder if she even has any women friends. I don't think she does. And Ben is just not a fave of mine. But he'll pick her. Lindsey who??

Just watched The Lorax with the kids who are out of school for 3 weeks, the last track out of the year. It was really enjoyable. Mini#2 already wants the DVD! I told him we have to wait a few months for that. He then told me he wants to go see it again in the theater. I'd say he really liked it! Danny Devito was the perfect voice for the Lorax, too. 2 thumbs up from us on this movie.

Really hoping to jump on some spring cleaning. My kids drawers are screaming to be gone through and to remove the outgrown clothing. Now that I've written this I feel obligated to get this task done.

But, most of all, just looking for spring around here. FROZE at baseball practice last night. I gave up after 30 mins and sat in the car and read for the remaining 30 mins. Thankfully I layered mini#2 up, but he said he couldn't feel his toes last night after a chilly, breezy first practice of the season.

That's all for today...

Watch This Show!

In an effort to get my reality TV watching under control, I (and the Mr.) have started watching this show. We really like it! Catherine McPhee (American Idol alum), Debra Winger, Angelica Houston are the names you would recognize. It's about a team of writers, producers, dancers developing a new Broadway show about the life of Marilyn Monroe. I love it! It's kind of a Glee, So You Think you can Dance soap opera set in New York City. Ha! It comes on at 10 PM EST on NBC on Monday nights...It's my new guilty pleasure. Make it yours!

I'm a bad blogger!

Just been a little crazy.

Trying to figure out how to get mini#2 places at the same time. I believe on Monday nights I will have to start sawing him in half so half of him goes to cub scouts at 6:00 and the other half goes to baseball practice at the same time. Mr. Pink is the leader (for both kids until last Saturday when mini#1 became a boy scout) so he is trying to change cub scout start to 7 for the rest of the year which ends for them in May.

And then there's always Wednesdays to keep me on my toes. Next week we add baseball to our crazy mix. So soccer for mini#2 from 5-6. Then guess he'll change in the car, woof down something as dinner and be at baseball practice 2 miles away (whew!) from 6:01-7:15. Yea right. Not happening so smoothly. But let's not forget my budding actor/musician, mini#1. He will be dropped off at his music/theater class at 6:30. I'll retrieve mini#2 at 7:15 and mini#1 at 7:30. Then we'll all race home for baths and bedtime.

I have not even attempted to look at our Saturdays through June yet. But I know that soccer games and baseball games will, inevitably, be at the same times!

Yes, I can hear you all now. So why is your kid playing/doing so much you ask. And I'd respond, "Don't judge me. You know you're just like me doing this, too!" Am I right? Why are we letting our kids do so much?? Mini#2 is going to have to pick one sport a season. If he had his choice, and I am not exaggerating, he would play soccer (indoor and outdoor), basketball, tennis, baseball, flag football along with golf lessons and a side of karate. Not kidding. These are conversations I have daily with him. And #1 wants guitar lessons. Can I just say to you parents of 3 or more kids, bless your hearts. I.DO.NOT.KNOW.HOW.YOU.DO.IT.

So that's my Friday rant. It was a long one, but it's been a week and a half since I last posted so count this as two posts! Happy weekend!
