....cause I'm off to pick strawberries with mini#2's preschool class today! I'm excited. How is it I've gone thirty cough-cough years and haven't ever been to pick strawberries? Anyone have any good strawberry recipes? I may need them!

Picking strawberries is hard work because the plants are so low. I much rather pick blueberries! But it should be fun with a bunch of kids.
Recipes, schmecipes. Just throw them on ice cream, angel food cake, etc. I also like them in salads!

What a fun day to observe those lower to the ground doing the work! :) I love injecting big berries with Grand Marnier and then dipping them in dark chocolate for adult desserts. If the berries are tiny how about having your minis throw them into a blender for a strawberry milk shake to compliment dinner? Maybe you can pick up those burgers on the way home.
